My Books

I write books that contain the evidence to prove “human is an extraordinary thing to be” because I believe this is the fundamental, not yet revealed, truth about us.

Why Do I Feel This Way
Conciousness, Reality, and Making Love

Why Do I Feel This Way

This, my first book, won "Best Book of 2012" from Goodreads when it was first published, and many years after, when it was no longer available, many companies called to buy it – but it was my book! Then, a lovely young man named James Charlton, from Ewing Publishing, called to say this book needs to be available for people right now, and he convinced me. I'm so glad he did, because this book has my heart. I'm so glad I can share it with the world now!

One reader said, "this book is a compelling exploration of the emotions and feelings that shape our lives. In this powerful narrative, Dina Wilcox interweaves her personal experiences with scientific insights to explain how our brains process emotions like fear, happiness, love, and intuition. With simple, straightforward language, Dina guides readers through the inner working of their feelings, showing them how to use emotions to live life deliberately, rather than as victims of circumstances. This book is not just a memoir – it's a guide to understanding the science of emotions and how we can harness them to move forward with resilience."

And when after all those years, I found this wonderful review from a reader who identified as B. Quigly, who wrote at Amazon: "Why Do I Feel This Way? is a book that truly changes the way I look at human emotions. A beautiful and thought-provoking read Dina lets you into her life as she discusses the loss of her husband and the emotions that come along with loss. A genius woman Dina's effective and new-age ways of connecting to her emotions allows readers to understand and the reasoning as to why we feel the way we do. Unlike many other self-help books Dina's truly left me feeling as if I could conquer any psychological distress. I found myself relating to her story and emotions because we all experience times of struggles; however, it would be a blessing to overcome these struggles like Dina has. A book that was undoubtedly made for the people and not scientists "Why Do I Feel This Way?" is a candid and straightforward book that will leave you feeling illuminated. A definite page turner I would recommend this to anyone who had had emotional turmoil or wants to really understand the reasoning for their emotional turmoil or wants to really understand the reason for their emotions. Dina Wilcox is a woman who inspires me. An interesting and brilliant woman Dina's book has helped me grow as a human being." I thank you "B" for your beautiful words.

"I came to realize that my feelings and emotions weren't just reactions to life – they were tools. Tools to help me make sense of my experiences, to understand what truly matters, and to make decisions that align with my purpose. Once I stopped resisting my feelings and learned to listen to them, I found the strength to rebuild my life in ways I never thought possible."

Conciousness, Reality, and Making Love

In this book, you will be introduced to what I call "expanded reality," which can only be accessed by our non-physical senses: our imaginations, intuitions, dreams, feelings, and consciousnesses, which I believe we have for just this purpose. Carefully, I have built a scaffold to support my research in history, archaeology, language arts, quantum physics, and, as always, my own experiences with expanded reality   these, my "unscientific experiments." I also shine Spotlights on five women who keep alive, in their own work today, the connections to our ancient knowledge.

This journey through expanded reality makes it easy for every reader to expand her and his own ways of knowing what is real. That's what makes this destination truly worth the adventure. Or, as I always say, "This book is the proof that human is an extraordinary thing to be."

I like to write books for nonscientists who are curious like me, so I started this one with a hypothesis: We use our physical senses to know physical reality, so we have "non-physical" senses that have evolved to help us access what I'm calling "Expanded Reality." You'll be surprised to know you are very familiar with your non-physical senses: imaginations, feelings, intuitions, emotions, dreams, and, your own consciousness. In this book you can learn what they're really for, and how you can use them to balance both Realities in your life.

Life prods us to create, and it
challenges us to connect with each other.
